Your Gift Matters

I want to encourage you in the LORD concerning the gift and sharing of your purpose in Christ Jesus while you are living in your appointed time on this Earth.

Perhaps your gift is hospitality. Perhaps it is the creative arts, singing, writing, cooking, helps, or one of the many gifts I have not written here.

Often we admire another persons gift yet demean or act dismissive toward our own gifting. Yet your gift is as unique as your finger print. This is a marvelous thing.

Yes, you have been created for such a time as this. Use your gift.

Offer it unto the LORD. Whatever large, small, fractured or whole gifting you possess.

Give it to God.

Human reasoning would deter us. Yet the Holy Spirit prompts us to give whatever gift we have been given, to share it, to lay it at the feet of Christ.

Every time I meet difficulty or darkness, the Holy Spirit says “praise”. This will mean a purposeful immediate response to obey. I pick up a tambourine, sing, or speak forth the Word of God to move forward in the call.  The Holy Spirit is ever wooing us, reminding us, drawing us in the LORD.

Do not ignore His Prompt. Your footsteps are ordered of the Lord. Move forward.

I am always reminded of Paul and Silas (Acts 16) when He prompts me to praise. There is always a prison of some sort seeking to lock us away, to deter, to shut us down.

May we ever be found faithfully obeying God who opens and sends forth angels to open all prison doors that have enclosed God’s children. In Jesus name. Amen.

Every captive set free, in Jesus Christ.

Free Indeed!

A few days ago, my daughters and I were discussing roles in life. This discussion caused several considerations, a few of which I am sharing here.
In part, the discussion included how as humans we can be guilty at times of attempting to put ourselves or others into a conforming box of our own expectations.
We need to allow ourselves and others to be as God intends them to be in Him.
FREE.
On a deeper level this "boxed in" mentality can be a form of manipulation.
As children of God we are who we are "in Christ" .
Our Redeemer, our Maker determines our path, our days, His Way.
Not our way or the way of someone else.
In all our ways we are to acknowledge Christ Jesus. We are fully His and His sacrifice set us free.
We are bought, slaves to no man, but willing bond servants to the King of Kings and Lord of glory.

We have been given a love that covers, not smothers our uniqueness in the Body of Christ.
A love that covers and encourages the gifting and goodness of God in ourself and others.
Let us all go about doing that.

We are to fan the flame of His spirit in ourselves and one another.
Love that covers scripturally, is in line with the Word of God.

Love that smothers, spreads a cover of "self " or "Ego" over others until the one covered has their own flame extinguished is not in line with scripture.
RESIST.
Flee from that which seeks to steal, kill or destroy the good gift of Christ Jesus in you.
Consider what Jesus said in...
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it abundantly.

We are to fan the flame of His love in one another by invitation, by exploration of His Word and Spirit.
His love compels us to draw from the wells of salvation and share with all who are thirsty for the water of life.
The love of Christ compels people to come into His presence, not our presence.

The cover of Christ's love energizes, renews, protects and hedges a border of sustaining grace around the flame of Christ in us.
Consider 1 Corinthians 13
If someone strips you of your self worth, belittles your contribution in life or love..recognize the enemy.
That which seeks to kill, steal, or destroy is a spiritual termite seeking to eat away that which God is building in you.
We are not defenseless, we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.

Get out of the box!

Romans 14:7-9 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.

James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
