Most people live in a house. Varying sizes, different styles. Over my life time I have lived in a car,(homeless), a trailer, an apartment, a duplex, a rental and a sticks and bricks home.
In all these places I have collected my version or my family’s version of treasures.
Most of us love our stuff and continue to collect that which gives us pleasure throughout our lives.
Even King Solomon listed the lifetime collection he had gathered in Ecclesiastes 2.
Those things which he had built and acquired over the years.
And yet nothing he acquired went with him in the end. Nothing.
Nor will we take any physical thing with us at the end of our lives.
The earthly thing or things we fill our time, life, and homes with will stay and go the way of all the Earth.
As I contemplated this information the Lord showed me a visual of what He was speaking to my heart, which I am now sharing with you from the pages of my journal.
Journal Entry of Debbie Turner Chavers 2022
God has given us good things to enjoy but it is necessary to keep our eyes on the Eternal.
We shall not pass this way again.
Consider Ecclesiastes 2 where Solomon considers the futility of pleasure and possessions.
Jesus told us in Luke 12 that it is foolish to lay up earthly treasures for ourselves yet not be rich toward God. You are loved and it is your Father’s good pleasure to provide all things for us.
Focus on Him, He Will take care of us.
*The summation was that people spend their whole life filling up a big box, ie their home with perceived treasures. Yet, in the end they move to an empty little box, ie coffin or urn.
Choose wisely,

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steal.
Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
