Once a year, my husband dove hunts in Ardmore, Alabama. He may be able to go a few times a year to different fields but this is one of his favorite places to hunt birds.

Salt
Salt and sugar are similar in appearance, yet the taste and the effect are opposite to one another.
As children of God we are the salt not the sugar in this world. Sugar in its created form is a gift of sweetness, yet too much makes one nauseous. Walking in love with others requires seasoning.
Our Creator is merciful and kind, yet not sticky sweet.
We have been instructed to conduct ourselves in the same manner.
Therefore to represent God as a permissive parent to one another is wrong.
God’s mercy encompasses every need, yet requires accountability.
When we invite others to the table of our lives we want to be salt.
A bit of salt gives a heightened taste of the goodness of God.
Excess in sugar or salt in our daily life and demeanor with one another can overwhelm the taste of any dish or life situation. Our lives and fellowship with one another need to be centered on the well seasoned plate of the Word of God.
Pass the salt, please.

Prayer
Father God, in my day to day interaction with others help me to be kind, yet truthful.
In Jesus name. Amen.
Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Mark 9:50
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost its saltiness, wherewith will ye season it?
Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Psalm 119:103
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Proverbs 20:16
Hast thou found honey? Eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith,
and vomit it.

Harvest Time- John 4:35
No man knows the day nor the hour when the harvest is ready. Only the Lord of the harvest knows the time. The Word of God is planted in men’s hearts. The door is open and waiting for all who would enter into the labor of the Lord’s fields.

An Exhortation : Fight the Good Fight and Win
Let’s pray:
Father God, thank you for giving me the desire and ability to get to know you better. Father help me to see clearly what pleases you and what does not and to correct myself if I am out of line in my relationship with You.
In Jesus name. Amen

Singing Encouragement-Overcoming Fear
Someone still sees who you are, yeah
Were you the kid that was a dreamer, now you don't believe?
Are you the lock that got so broken, now you lost the key?
Someone still loves who you are, yeah
To everyone who ever felt ashamed
Here's a song for all the broken hearted
I believe you're only getting started
To anyone who trusts in Jesus' name
Watch your world become forever changed
Here's a song about light from darkness
I believe you're only getting started
If you could understand the measure of the Father's heart
He loves you, He loves you, He loves you
Fall in His arms and let Him wash you clean
He'll tear off the chains so that you can be free
A new life begins and the old is redeemed
Oh, I believe, yeah
To everyone who ever felt ashamed
Here's a song for all the broken hearted
I believe you're only getting started
To anyone who trusts in Jesus' name
Watch your world become forever changed
Here's a song about light from darkness
I believe you're only getting started
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh oh oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh
He loves you, He loves you, He loves you
To everyone who ever felt ashamed
Here's a song for all the broken hearted
I believe you're only getting started
To anyone who trusts in Jesus' name
Watch your world become forever changed
Here's a song about light from darkness
I believe you're only getting started

Parable of the Seed
Everyday we are planting seed.
Our life times are fields.
Some fields are untended.
Fallow. Waiting for seed.
Day in day out the seasons have come and gone..
Yet, nothing of substance has taken root.
Weeds, the lot is abandoned.
Consider the seed you are planting in your life soil.
All seed delivers a harvest.
Earthly seed has a life cycle.
Spiritual seed has a life cycle.
There will be fruit from all seed planted.
The Lord of the harvest will require an accounting of our life seed choices.
Be a wise steward. Plant for Eternity.
~Debbie
Mark 4:26-29
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

The Importance of a Name
The importance of a name...
When I was younger I was put in school under an assumed name to protect me from an abusive parent, my natural dad. My mom did this to protect my sister and I.
When I became an adult I dropped my alias name and started using my legal birth last name ( maiden name) which is Turner.
It was part of my journey toward wholeness to reclaim my birth name in the natural.
To take steps to move from the shadows of fear, to trusting and walking in the light of God's provision.
Regardless of our history, there was no mistake about the family we were born into.
God chose Mary to be the mother of Jesus. Luke 1
God chose our mother and families also.
Before we were born there was a plan for us.
God does not make mistakes. Psalm 139
Names can define our image of who we are in life and our possibilities in this life.
If you will receive it, God will give you a new name.
We have been granted the ability to live our lives under the power and authority of His name, the name that our Father has bestowed upon us through His Son, Jesus Christ.
To take a name is life changing.
Throughout history and scripture we can see the importance of names.
From Genesis to Revelation there are so many examples of natural names being replaced with a new name.
Each time scripture shows God bestowing a new name to an individual it is life changing for the recipient as well as the world.
Life changing.
New creation, life changing.
Part of my identity in Christ is to be a turner or one who points others to Jesus Christ.
The irony did not escape me that my birth name was previously hidden.
Wickedness always tries to steal, kill, and destroy, to take that which God has given you. John 10:10
Be careful of the names that you allow others to attach to you through their words or actions toward you.
God has redeemed you, He has called, anointed and appointed you.
God knows you by name.
His name is given, you are His.
Do not allow an alias to define you.
Child of God, Claim your name.
~Debbie
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Psalm 139:1-24
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white rainment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

A Door Wide Open
To the one who thinks life is over or that the road has ended.
It has not. Regardless of our perception. Life rolls on.
Minutes tick by as each hair on your head is counted. The smallest details of your life do not fade into a vacuum.
The God who created you, the God who placed you in your mother’s womb has not forgotten you. (Psalm 139)
One by one, each breath taken, shallow or deeply was and is and ever will be, a gift from God.
Tomorrow may not be delivered for you.
Yet, you are delivered from death by the shed blood of Jesus Christ who died in your place and resurrected.
Hang on.
A new day will arise.
Mercy will come.
The door is wide open for those in Christ.
~Debbie
Luke 12:7
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
